Updated: Aug 13

You are ready to hire the right Virtual Assistant, but you don’t have a clue where to start. You're tired of searching VA companies to find quality VAs; you’re not sure who to hire and how to add them to your team.

Let’s start with: What should you do before hiring a VA to work in your business? We discussed that in today’s post. Keep reading.

Before hiring a virtual assistant to your team, ask yourself these important questions:

Why do I want to hire a VA?

  • You want to focus on what you love to do and hand over the rest to your Virtual Assistant.

  • You have the budget to add on a new team member.

  • You have enough work to keep your VA busy and a to-do list ready to delegate.

Does this sould like you?

How do I know if I'm ready to hire?

  • You have implemented systems and processes in your business, or you're looking for someone to help you do just that and manage it all for you

  • You have standard operating procedures in place, and you are ready to hire and train someone to take over your daily mundane tasks so you can focus on money-generating activities in your business.

Can you answer yes to both?

Then you are ready to hire a virtual assistant!

Follow these 7 Steps to hiring a VA:

  1. First, systemize your business before hiring

  2. Then, create standard operating procedures or an employee manual

  3. Next, automate as much of your process

  4. Now ask yourself: why am I hiring, and what position am I hiring for? e.g., Support role, a sales role, or a consultant role

  5. Also, ask yourself: What is the return on the investment? Can I afford to hire someone?

  6. If so, create a monthly budget and write out a job description of what you need help with

  7. Finally, interview candidates. Choose the right person. Set your VA up for success by onboarding and training them properly and sharing your expectations, goals, and requirements.

The ultimate goal: to hire to grow and execute your bigger vision

Running a small business?

Get help to launch, scale, and grow with a Virtual Assistant on your team

There are plenty of perks to owning your business — like being the boss, for one.

  1. You get to see your own plans and dreams come to life.

  2. And you can set the company track exactly as you see fit.

But the downside to running a small business?

All of the stress that comes with it.

That’s why learning to manage stress is crucial for small biz owners.

Reduce your stress by getting all those tedious, mundane tasks you've been doing off your plate.

Decide whether you need to delegate or automate your business.

How to Submit Your Job Opportunity

Before you proceed, please note: We are not a VA agency nor a staffing agency. Please complete the form below, and your request will be submitted to our pool of talented network of Virtual Assistants.

*Keep in mind all positions must be virtual. All virtual assistants work from home or remotely (not in your office/location). Virtual Assistants are Independent Contractors and will complete a W-9 & 1099 unless you hire them as full-time employees (W-2).

Tell us what you need. Provide as many details as possible, but don’t worry about getting it perfect.

How does our job search work?

We can help you a little or a lot. It is up to you!

Again, we are not a VA agency or staffing agency. We simply find VA's in our database who are a part of our Members Club that fit the job description you are looking for. The search assistance we provide is free of charge.

However, if you would like help to hire and manage your VA(s), we can do this for a small team managerial fee of $200/monthly per remote team member. We work with women-owned small to midsize companies (10 employees or less).

Services include: administrative/executive assistance, operations, online business management, and project management, systems and tool integrations, customer service management, digital marketing, website & graphics design, and technical/IT support.

About the Club

Virtual Assistants Brunch Club is a social club and VA network that serves the official brunch community of virtual assistants in the VA industry.
